I make learning feel less like homework. Training should be something people want to do — not something they endure.
Learning design with purpose & personality.
As an eLearning designer with a learner-focused, skills-based approach, I’m always asking the same question: “Who are your learners, and what do they need to be able to do?”
I create experiences rather than lessons. Using simulations, branching scenarios, video, and microlearning, I design learning that sticks. My background spans instructor-led training, web development, adult learning theory, and both technical and journalistic writing — a mix that lets me bring unique skills and talents to every project.
I’m currently at the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families, where I design learning that supports some of the most important work in the state. Before that, I spent time at UCare as a Training and Testing Coordinator where I helped shape training programs from the ground up.
Outside of the day-to-day, you’ll likely find me exploring the world or digging into the history of a storied distillery. I have a deep appreciation for whiskey — particularly the heritage of the craft and the unique stories behind every bottle. Whether it’s trekking through a new country or refining my palate, I find that the best insights often come when I’m far away from a computer screen.
